Adapt2Fit is in testing. Please use made-up information only, and don't enter real medical details.
Who we are
Adapt2Fit is an exercise app for people of all abilities, with a website for physical therapists. It's run by Adapt2Fit. This policy covers the Adapt2Fit iPhone app and the therapist website at app.adapt2fit.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, name, and password (stored securely by our sign-in provider; we never see it).
- Your setup answers: your goals, how you move, the equipment you have, and the safety questions.
- What you record: workouts and sets, exercises you skip or change, check-ins (how you feel, pain, and your answers), pain reports, notes, diary entries, and messages.
- Apple Health, only if you allow it: steps or wheelchair pushes, activity, heart rate, sleep, meals, and walking measurements. Most of this stays on your iPhone. Heart rate and calories during an exercise are saved with that exercise, and walking measurements are saved so you can see trends.
- Basic technical records: when requests reach our servers and whether they worked, to keep the service running and secure. These don't include what you wrote.
How we use it
Only to run Adapt2Fit: to show your workouts and progress, suggest exercises that fit you, and share information with your clinic when you use the app with a therapist. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Who can see it
- Your own workouts (exercising on your own) are private to you.
- If you use Adapt2Fit with a clinic, your care team there (your therapists and the clinic's admins) sees what you do in their program: the exercises you record, pain you report, shared check-ins, notes for your therapist, and messages. Your private diary is never shared.
- Apple Health data is shared with a clinic only if you turn on sharing for that clinic in Profile, and stops being shared when you turn it off.
- Our service providers store and process data for us: Supabase (database and sign-in) and Render (our servers). They may only use it to provide their service to us.
- We'll share information if the law requires it.
Messages and pain reports aren't monitored around the clock
Your care team sees them when they next check. If you think you have a medical emergency, call 911. Adapt2Fit doesn't give medical advice or diagnosis.
Deleting your account
In the iPhone app, open Profile › Delete my account. This deletes your login and everything personal: your own workouts and plans, check-ins you didn't share, your diary, your name, email, and settings.
If you used Adapt2Fit with a clinic, the clinic keeps its own copy of your therapy records (your program, the exercises you did for it, shared check-ins, pain reports, and messages), no longer connected to an account. Clinics often have to keep treatment records. To ask a clinic to remove them, contact the clinic.
Apple Health data stays in the Health app on your iPhone; Adapt2Fit only reads it.
Keeping it safe
Information is sent over encrypted connections, access is limited to the people described above, and actions on the service are logged so they can be reviewed. No system is perfectly secure, so please use made-up information while Adapt2Fit is in testing.
Children
Adapt2Fit isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes and questions
We'll update this page if anything changes and change the date at the top.
